H3R - Model 361 - Halon 1211 Fire Extinguisher
The Federal Aviation Administration recommends and/or requires Halon fire extinguishers for use on aircraft (see AC 20-42C). H3R offers two types of Halon extinguishers: Halon 1211 and Halon 1211-1301.
Hand-held Halon 1211 fire extinguishers are required on commercial transport aircraft, and for good reason. Though a liquid streaming agent, Halon 1211 also performs remarkably well as a total flooding agent, seeking out inaccessible fires. H3R rechargeable Halon 1211 extinguishers contain 100% recycled Halon with nitrogen as a propellant. A steel cylinder (except for the lightweight aluminum A1600) and all-metal valve construction make these units exceptionally durable. A pressure gauge enables easy confirmation of charge. A six-year maintenance and a 12-year hydrostatic test are required.
